AngloThai x Newcomer Wines
Every Friday/Saturday from July 3rd – October 3rd
We’re incredibly stoked to announce AngloThai has partnered with our friends Newcomer Wines to bring an exciting new food and drinks offering to their Dalston wine bar. We have created a food menu focused on over fire cooking, with an emphasis on the flavours of Northeastern Thailand, inspired by the rural, countryside dishes of Isaan.
AngloThai x Newcomer will be available for pre-order collect and delivery in designated time slots (5pm – 9pm). In addition, there will be a limited number of “AngloThai Alfresco” dine-in tables available each evening, following social distancing government guidelines. With rotating food and wine specials only available to dine-in guests.
Newcomer Wines will release their very first edition of ‘The New Old World’ wine list, showcasing over 300 references covering back vintages and verticals from some of the most celebrated winemakers of the London restaurant scene. The wine list will be complemented by an eclectic selection of new arrivals from Newcomer’s collective of growers, including Christian Tschida, Claus Preisinger, Matassa and many more available alongside the AngloThai food offering.

We are very excited to be cooking with our dear friend Chef Tom Brown this weekend at Cornerstone restaurant in Hackney Wick. We will be serving an exclusive collaboration menu from Tom and John to take-away with wine to buy by the glass while you wait in the queue!

Sunday 26th January
AngloThai x Christina Tschida – Joseph Brot, Vienna (Austria)
AngloThai will be travelling to Austria at the end of January to join forces with esteemed wine maker Christian Tschida, one of the leading lights of Austria’s burgeoning natural wine movement. From his family’s beautiful vineyards near Lake Neusiedlersee in Burgenland he crafts some of the unique wines in the country. They are marked by soaring aromas, crazy textures and real finesse. To drink a bottle of Tschida is an unforgettable experience.
John will be designing and cooking a menu at Joseph Brot in Vienna, using the finest Austrian ingredients. Desiree and Christina will hand pick a selection of rare wines from the Tschida cellar, which the pair will pour on the night.

AngloThai x Chinese Laundry
Sunday 19th January
We’re kicking off 2020 cooking and pouring wines with our good friends Tongtong and Peiran of Chinese Laundry. This collaborative ‘Sunday Feast Menu’ will focus on Chinese cooking techniques meeting irresistible and addictive Thai flavours.
Our very own Desiree will pair an all natural wine list to accompany this Thai-Chinese feast.
Tickets are £50 for six courses served family-style. Drinks are charged at an additional cost. Two sittings – 12:00 midday and 15:00 for 18 guests at each sitting.

Breddos Christmas TacOver
Sunday 8th December
Following the sell-out successes of their TacOver series held in partnership with TABASCO® Brand, Breddos are excited to announce the line-up for their annual Christmas party featuring an epic rota of some of the UK’s most celebrated chefs.
On 8th December, Nud Dudhia of Breddos will be joined by chefs from AngloThai (John Chantarasak), Carter’s of Moseley (Brad Carter), Berber & Q (Josh Katz), Manteca (Chris Leach), and Happy Endings (Terri Mercieca).
Each chef take on a dish using their culinary heritage and expertise whilst incorporating Mexican ingredients, flavours and techniques. The meal is limited to 35 guests and one sitting, take place on Sunday 8th December at 12.30pm.
Alongside the food, sommeliers Holly Jackson (Carter’s Of Moseley) and Desiree Chantarasak (AngloThai) will be providing a natural wine pairing.

AngloThai x Erst, Manchester
Friday 8th November
AngloThai will be heading to Erst in Manchester for a one night only kitchen takeover. Wines will be selected and poured by Nic Rizzi from his Modal Wines portfolio. Expect unique wines with the right mix of edge, character, balance, and drinkability – at times surprising, but always thoroughly enjoyable.
Tickets are £4o for a 5 course tasting menu.

Chiswick Cookbook Festival, The Crown
Wednesday 4th September
This stellar dinner has been created by Henry Harris especially for The Cookbook Festival to celebrate the launch of their 2019 programme of events. All the chefs are donating their time for the evening and profits from tickets sales will be donated to the 3 festival charities: Felix Project, Doorstep Library and InterAct Stroke Support.
John will join the line-up of chefs for the evening including Valentine Warner, Rick Stein, Joe Trivelli, Mitch Tonks, Oli Brown and Henry Harris.
Tickets are priced at £60 for 7 courses including welcome drink and snacks.

Kricket x AngloThai
Tuesday 3rd September
AngloThai will kick off the Kricket White City Chef Series on Tuesday 3rd September in aid of Apne Aap Women’s Collective – an anti-trafficking organisation that serves women and their children in Mumbai.
This isn’t the first time John and Will have joined forces – a sell out collaboration earlier this year at AngloThai With Friends at The Dairy means fans now have one more chance to experience the vibrant marrying of Indian and Thai flavours this autumn.
Seats are £40 for 3 course sharing menu and welcome cocktail.



Wander x AngloThai x Slobodne x Modal Wines
Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st August
We will be heading east to cook with our friend Alexis Noble at her restaurant Wander in Stoke Newington. 7 courses of AngloThai inspired dishes using the best of British produce with a focus on domestic seafood from Henderson Seafood. The meal will include rare Slobodne wines from Slovakia, poured by Nic Rizzi of Modal Wines.
Seats are £70 for 7 courses and 5 glasses of Slobodne wine.
Heuriger Rastok - Mittelburgerland, Austria
Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July
John will be joining wine maker Luka Zeichmann (Joiseph/Zeichmann) at his family winery in Austria for their first Heuriger festival to prepare AngloThai themed small plates using the abundant produce grown by Luka in his vineyards and permaculture family gardens. These vegan dishes will be served alongside new vintages of Joiseph wines as well as Luka’s own Zeichmann bottles.
Everyone welcome and free entry to all. Food and drinks available for purchase each day.
White City House x AngloThai
Monday 15th July
Clerkenwell Boy Presents: AngloThai at White City House. Served alfresco on the 10th floor Terrace of White City House, these intimate communal dinners bring food lovers together to discover new styles of cooking and meet rising chef talent. This month, AngloThai serves traditional Thai recipes and flavours married with modern techniques and seasonal British ingredients.
Wines have been hand selected by Nic Rizzi and Desiree West from Modal Wines portfolio. Expect unique wines with the right mix of edge, character, balance, and drinkability – at times surprising, but always thoroughly enjoyable.
Tickets are £45 for a 3 course sharing style feast and welcome cocktail. Wines available on the night BTG and BTB.
The Carcass Cartel - Does Asian
Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th June
John will be joining the stella line-up of chefs to celebrate whole animal, nose-to-tail ethos eating at Hackney Church Brew Co. as part of the first Carcass Cartel event.
The line-up for this invent includes; DJ BBQ, Elizabeth Haigh (Kaizen House), Sam Bryant & Alicja Specjalna (Whole Beast), Angel Zapata Martin (Barrafina), Elliot Cunningham (Lagom), Ivan Tistall-Downes & Imogen Davis (Native) and Carcass Cartel founder Dan Shearman.
Tickets include a dish cooked by each chef and a welcome drink created by Pritesh Mody.
AngloThai at Counter Culture
Robin and Sarah Gill are delighted to welcome AngloThai to their Clapham restaurants, Counter Culture for the months of May and June. AngloThai will take over Counter Culture, a small plates restaurant with just 13 stools, which has been offering a rotating world tour of cuisines over the past 12 months. AngloThai marries traditional Thai recipes and flavours with seasonal British ingredients, paired with a low‐intervention natural wine program. This is delivered by husband and wife team ‐ John Chantarasak and Desiree West.
AngloThai at Counter Culture will be available for dinner every Wednesday to Saturday from May 8th to June 29th.

AngloThai With Friends
In addition to AngloThai taking the helm at Counter Culture (May/June) the duo will also curate a revolving door of chef friends and wine experts for a series of collaborative Sunday dinners at The Dairy in Clapham Common – AngloThai With Friends.
AngloThai With Friends will be five courses served family style, including snacks and a welcome drink. There will be a selection of natural wines available at each dinner, chosen by a weekly changing expert in the field. Guest chefs will work with John to create exciting menus that showcase their style of cooking with flourishes of AngloThai flavours and ingredients.
Tickets are £45 for 5 courses shared menu and a welcome cocktail.
AngloThai x Root, Bristol
Tuesday 30th April
This month AngloThai will be travelling to the West Country for a kitchen takeover dinner at Bib Gourmand Bristol restaurant – Root. John will partner his signature style of cooking with Rob Howell’s (Head Chef, Root) passion for locally sourced, vegetable driven dishes.
Seats are £55 for 6 courses and snacks.
AngloThai x DaiLo, Toronto
Monday 8th April
AngloThai heads to Canada for a one-night-only collaboration dinner with Chef Nick Liu at his Toronto based restaurant DaiLo: New-Asian Cuisine. The dinner will see John reunite with old friend Courtney Stebbings (Genuwine, Lyle’s, The River Café) who will create a bespoke wine pairing for the evening.
Seats are $100 (Canadian Dollar) for 5 courses served family style, including amuse and welcome drink.
AngloThai at The Mountgrove Bothy
Thursday 14th – Saturday 30th March
AngloThai will be serving small plates and natural juice every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening for a mini three-week residency in March at The Mountgrove Bothy in Finsbury Park. Each week we’ll be showcasing wines from specific producers on the Modal Wines portfolio.

AngloThai x Public, Sheffield
Thursday 7th March
This month AngloThai continues its UK tour, this time stopping in at Public in Sheffield for a one night induction hob takeover. In the site of a former public convenience for Sheffield Town Hall, Public has won praise and accolade in its two short years since opening in 2017. Through Jack Wakelin’s drinks program and Tom Aronica’s creative food menu Public has been crowned ‘The Best Place to Drink in The UK’ (Observer Food Monthly awards 2018) and ‘Bar Food Menu of the Year’ (Class Bar Awards 2018). John will partner with the Sheffield duo to create a dynamic small plates tasting menu alongside a selection of natural wines from some of his favourite producers of the moment.

AngloThai x Carter's of Moseley
Sunday 24th February
We’re incredibly honoured to be invited to bring AngloThai to Birmingham at the incredible Carter’s of Moseley. Brad Carter and John will collaborate on a best of British produce menu with flavours of Thailand.
The philosophy of Carters of Moseley is to be a true expression of British terroir within the moment. Menus are developed by following the natural rhythms of the season, led by the ingredients available and inspired by the producers who work the British landscape. This style of cooking has won Carter’s of Mosley widespread critical acclaim, including recognition from the Michelin Guide by awarding the restaurant 1 Michelin star.
